"Recovering loudly
to help keep others from dying quietly"
Since deciding to quit drinking in 2011 I have had many friends ask me how I did it. They want to know how I went from being full blown active alcoholic to living a completely alcohol free life.

The goal of Sobriety in Black is to tell my sobriety story while illustrating a process for achieving sustained sobriety.

I discovered that the Black experience and our relationship to alcohol can verily affect our road to recovery. We have unique experiences and social factors that should be taken into consideration when seeking recovery.

I am looking forward to taking you on my journey and doing whatever I can to help others that suffer silently from alcohol addiction.

Be sober, be vigilant
